I've noticed for years that you'll seldom if ever see a bona-fide bass guy in a canoe.

My bassin' buddies and my river fishing buddies are 2 separate groups that never come together.   I actually have like a split/multiple personality thing going on, with 4 different sets of friends.

I guess if you start in a canoe, you'll stay there, and same with a bass boat. I do know I used to be a tandem canoe guy but ever since I got a jet boat, I never looked back. But  I realize that the only way to fish in non pressured water is either wading or canoeing.

I started in a float tube and fished like that thru most of high school. Then went to a bass boat and thought that was it. Now it's canoes and kayaks. Maybe as I get older I'll go back to a boat but I'm not in any hurry.

Flysmallie, nobody is in a hurry to get older but one day you wake up and BANG....there you are. Enjoy fishing, boating or walking the bank every chance you get. We only go around once.

As punishment for making that video, Edwin and KVD should have to spend Saturday afternoon drop shot fishing out of a 16' Tracker on the main lake by the dam.  After about an hour they'll be cursing boats like that cruiser.

After about 15 minutes or less, they'll be too busy trying to help the teensy, on-board bilge pump by frantically bailing with anything they have handy just to stay afloat.  :P  And that's not limited to just the Dam area !

Too late, $Long, $$McCaskill and $$$Blunt each have one docked at State Park.  You're gonna need a 250 footer to one up them.  Took the kids out Sunday down around the big island up from Aunts and a MASSIVE house boat looking thing came by running at a good 15-20 mph shortly after... the OMT tournament guys were heading back in and all heck broke loose in 4'-5' swells.  Nothing I could do, but hope and pray nobody got hurt.  I have no idea how the owner can dock the boat in a 30' deep stall as it had to be 40' or more.  Wonder what the law is regarding boats extending past the outside of the dock?

Just seen Edwin on FB live cruising in a 41' 4 outboard boat with KVD riding in the front. Said they are there for a Tracker sponsor demo days. 41' is a pretty big boat.

One things for sure big boats are coming to TR and all the LOZ BS that comes with it....

well we know now why the big push on bigger and better boat docks..because the others will get trashed......and people wonder why I got into the whole euro-carping thing I'm on the bank usually at night...even then  I wish I had an RPG to sink one of the floating drunk transports....

If there's such a law LOZ must be exempt (of course they are) cause there are hundreds if not thousands of docked boats up that way that have 20 - 30 foot of bow sticking out of their dock stalls.

And those are the already oversized cruiser docks!

At the rate it's going, it won't be long before all the rest of you guys are playing golf from Memorial Day to Labor Day too!
