Wonderful thread to read!

All of you have figured out that rps are initials from my first middle and last name. My father hung me with a "impressive" name that requires some time to sign. I started using rps as my signature when I had a gazillion legal papers to sign. At times one judge or another would question my use of initials. I had to point out a lesson from first year law school. A signature is what the signer wants to use as a signature (firsts semester, Real Property). After that, they accepted it. Note: When I was a baby lawyer, I was on the federal court list to be appointed to represent indigent "innocent citizens wrongfully accused." A forger who only caught a year for wire fraud taught me that the simple signature is the hardest to forge.

The avatar is a Hughsey painted Top Dollar with Daiichi hooks and hand tied tail. I can literally say, "They don't make them like that anymore."

Deadstream. 12,500 acre White Cedar swamp in Northern Michigan. It can be very dangerous and keeps a few people every few years. Great place for beaver pond brook trout. It drains into the Manistee, the AuSable and Pere Marquette are close by. Grew up there and It is my home range in the summer.   When I lean how to post pictures I will.  Winters I live under Ness' deck.

My name is fairly straightforward.  When this forum started up, I was in college and fishing down at taney a bunch.  I would mostly night fish after classes, but also spent a ton of time fishing during the day.  Many times while fishing at night, while waiting for the water to drop, or otherwise, I would take a nap on the picnic tables at the pavilion.  I guess you could say that's when my trout bum days started.  Mo-Trout-bum--a Missouri Trout Bum.  I no longer live in Missouri, but I'll always be a motroutbum.

I used to do that after classes in college too. If we were released early from marching band rehearsal, I’d grab a sack dinner from the dining hall and drive to Taney. I’d fish until I couldn’t stay awake then sleep in my car. In the morning, I’d drive back in time for my early morning music theory class.

SplitG2 was what we named a big buck I shot several years ago.  His left G2 tine was forked.  The pic was a sunset looking toward the dam on Taney during a fly fishing trip.  I keep meaning to change it.   Fun thread!   Thanks for starting.
