Named after Tom Sims who invented the snowboard at age 13 in 1963 (the year I was born, ironically).  After that Tom relocated to Cali and became the designer and builder of expensive technical snowboards and skateboards (100.00 at the time), starred in a movie called Free-Wheelin' in the '70's .

Tom took his last ride in 2012

His son, Tim still runs the company today.😎Screenshot_20180820-234848~2.png

I'm late to this party but once again the Billetheads deliver!  I wish I could of been along for that one.  I even recognized some of those CO locations from my last trip there.  Hopefully next year I can get back out there.  Or if anything maybe I can sneak into the camper, and then I'll be the pack mule and lug all of the gear for you guys :)  Needs more night fishing though!  LOL

I love these trips.  I REALLY enjoy reading about your adventures.  You always give the little things that don't really amount to fishing, but they make it the adventure.   i.e. the picnic table with stickers, the picture of Pat cooking the mixed fries, you get the point.  I really appreciate it, when I get to CO next time, I'm gonna tell some one about your story.  Wouldn't it be something if it was someone you met along the way?

I remember when snowboarding made it to sports tv.  Sims was the only board.  I'm a skateboarder.  Not good, but I love riding it.

Fun fact: I graduated in 96, my high school ring (which I still wear everyday) has skateboarding, and fishing engraved into it.

I will never go down as someone important in history but it would be nice to have someone say I knew a couple who lived each moment of their vacation to the max. We jammed in a bunch and do not know if we could of got more into it but would like to try :) .

Marty

You and Pat will always be known to the Folly family as the couple that opened their house (as lived in it as it was😉)  to some strangers that he met on a fishing forum and left as friends. Also with gifts of fishing lures, goose fat and full bellies - even Sean's. We appreciate being able to get to know you guys and look forward to the next time that our paths meet. Hopefully with a rod or gun in hand 😁.

I concur with John that the BH's are good peoples.  Haven't met Pat yet, but much admiration for her, and not only for just putting up with Marty, but those fishin skills to boot.

I will always be grateful for my river guide down in Arkansas who tolerated my incessant rambling of chasing fish and saving my jerkbaits... At least not as much retrievals as John anyways LOL.  He even took it easy on me as I still was picking pretty much all of @duckydoty 's seat cushion out of my posterior from the shoal hopping adventure from the day before!

Even if he did sleep on the job a bit, it was a great day on the water with a great person. :)
