Terrierman Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 September afternoon, sunny. A very impressive midge hatch going on right now in the yard that has the dragonflies out in full force. A real sight for all of us. Johnsfolly, Quillback, BilletHead and 4 others 6 1

Sometimes it's great to calm down and take in the majesty of the world around us. The rains here in MD led to swarms of mosquitos in our yard this evening😒. Terrierman and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
jdmidwest Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I came home this afternoon to a stray cat lounging on the boat cover. Guess he had to climb up there to get away from the neighbors dogs. He took off for the woods, but stopped to look back. I sped up his step with a bb in his butt. I just bought that new boat cover and am sure it is not warrantied against cat claws. Went inside, mosquitoes too thick and can't spare a pint of blood right now. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

I don't have a boat cover but still assist all the neighborhood cats out of my yard with a BB. Soon they will be helped out when I'm not home. Or dead. Terrierman Posted September 26, 2018 Author Posted September 26, 2018 Another September afternoon. 30 degrees cooler and not an insect to be seen. Three black buzzards soaring and one lone crow speaking. I feel sorry for the poor turkey buzzards who've been put aside. But that's the way it goes. I still love this place we have. snagged in outlet 3 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Nice and cool and dry. Skeeters are on ya though. Especially at dusk when it's cooled off. Heat seekers! The deer have tore up two forsythias and a lilac bush. Big tracks under the persimmon trees. Persimmons are big. Terrierman 1
Terrierman Posted September 26, 2018 Author Posted September 26, 2018 My persimmons are gone. Thinking squirrels. Or maybe that big red doe that hangs out down there. She's known to Lovey and me as Red. A big girl that has been around for several years.

Daryk Campbell Sr Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Interesting topic. Here is a picture I took this morning. The moon was in a neat position. This is not my house, but a neighbor up the street. Flysmallie 1 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
