gotmuddy Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 My goal is to float 100 miles of river next year. Living where I do I have tons of floatable river within a 1hr drive of my house. Intertwined I am going to get into kayak fishing, starting with buying a new kayak, a nucanoe classic. It isnt flashy, but I will be able to customize it how I want, and it will be big enough to get my soon to be 7 year old son out on the water fishing. I also want to get to some new places and fish, mainly marshes in Southern LA (hopedale, cocodrie, etc) Its pretty lofty but hey...its a goal, it should not be easy to attain. I am all for using my son as an excuse to go fishing lol So have any of you set goals for next year? laker67, Johnsfolly, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 5 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
fishinwrench Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Just to enjoy myself. 😊 There'll be no "working" toward a recreational goal for me. JestersHK, tjm, Daryk Campbell Sr and 3 others 6
snagged in outlet 3 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Mine is the same as every year. Get out as much as I can considering family and work life. laissez les bon temps rouler! JestersHK and laker67 2

Now if I were to get a personal best Largemouth or Brown, I would be okay with that too......... snagged in outlet 3, laker67 and JestersHK 3
MrGiggles Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Want to get on Bull Shoals sometime during the spring or summer for some big walleyes. Would have to make a trip out of it, because it's a bit of a drive. As far as boat upgrades: Finish rear mounted trolling rod rack, before summer Trolling motor upgrade to one with spot lock. Network my bow and console sonars River boat build? Strong maybe on that one.... All smaller goals working to a single big one, which is "catch more fish."
