Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 29, 2018 Author Root Admin Posted December 29, 2018 My biggest fish is a 35 inch rainbow on 4 pound line. My biggest bass is a 7.5 pound LM on 10 pound line. laker67, snagged in outlet 3, Johnsfolly and 4 others 7

Al Agnew Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 My biggest browns (24-25 inches, three of them in that range) all came on streamers about 3 inches long. I've also caught 23 inch browns on jerkbaits, and one on a small crankbait. My biggest rainbows also came on streamers, both several 30-31 inchers in Alaska and a couple 24 inch class ones in Montana. I've done a lot of fly fishing with small nymphs and dry flies, but I don't think I've caught anything over 22 inches on the small stuff. That's not to say it can't happen, though. Mitch f 1
fishinwrench Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I was pitching a jig around a dock one day, 20# line and a stiff rod, the line suddenly went slack so I gave it the ol' eye crossing stab and started cranking. Woah! It was heavy, strong, and I couldn't turn it no matter how hard I leaned on it. It ran under the boat, then peeled out from under the boat and ran back towards the dock. Every time I'd ease up it would take off in another direction and I could feel it vibrating powerfully. It didn't fight like a big cat, definitely wasn't a drum or anything like that, it honestly felt like a really REALLY big bass. Finally I tired it down and up through the murky water came a complete TV antenna. I had it hooked right in the middle. 🤬 That thing was fierce ! Seth, Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 4

You got it landed even though it was snagged in the middle . More of a fight on light line. You see some fishermen like the challenge of the fight on light line while others like to set the hook that crosses the fishes eyes, jerks it's jaws into the boat for bragging rights. The other 31 big fish, "over 30 inches", came on a #12 or smaller scud and one that I recall on a white egg at night. The majority came on # 14 and # 16. 7x to 6x tippet. duckydoty, Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 5

snagged in outlet 3 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I’ve caught more big fish because I knew where they were, more than the method. Those areas dictate the method. nomolites, laker67, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4
