Members sjcorpst Posted January 31, 2019 Members Posted January 31, 2019 I'm impressed on how quick these guys adjust to the changing conditions. No boat flippin, no nets and no long rough rides to the weigh-in. I think it's good for the sport. No more people bitchin about how hard it is on their fisheries. Ham 1

I think he is an MLF hater. LOL If you look at bassfan they apparently have access to all the weights of each persons fish and have been posting the best 5 fish bags of the top 10 anglers. Group A Day 1: Randal Tharp: 22-09 Zack Birge: 21-09 Ish Monroe: 21-08 Group B Day 2: Greg Hackney: 19-12 Jason Christie: 18-14 Alton Jones Jr: 18-05 Those are decent weights in my humble opinion with the weather they are having. I heard it has been tough down there. I saw somewhere they had a BFL on lake O last weekend with 120 + boats and there were less than 15 limits weighed. I am amazed at how worked up some of the people on bassboatcentral are over the BPT. I have watched some of it the last few days and it has been entertaining. They definitely seem to be getting the bugs worked out compared to day 1. The way some people on BBC have been carrying on you would think it was the end of the world and the BPT/MLF tour was a product of Satan himself. My thought is if you don't like it don't watch it. There are a lot of Haters on BBC. Im not the biggest fant of every fish counts, but i did watch some today and their footage for the most part was crystal clear. I was amazed how fast these guys are fishing. Hell they make 5 casts before i could get 2 out
Seth Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I've enjoyed watching the BPT streams. Today was a lot better than the first day as far as the bugs went. You get to see a lot of fish caught as well as some donkeys. I'm not the one winning the 100k regardless so I don't really care who actually wins. It's all just free entertainment for me. magicwormman and liphunter 2

I just don't like giving real time updates to the other anglers. Wish it would be kept secret til the end of the day. Also would like it to be a 5 fish biggest weight. Those two changes would not alter, in any way, what they are currently doing with the fish care or live coverage of the events. Cover the fishing just as they are now just don't let the competitors know what they are fishing against. I remember you saying giving a bonus to the angler with the most fish caught and I would be fine with that as well. I would also argue that it takes more skill to hone in on the big fish fish than it does to catch a bunch of smaller fish. Sure, some luck is involved to get your bait in front of a big one and have her bite it but to do that a few times per day.....I think that's something more special than pulling up to a spot like Howell did yesterday and load the boat on a school of 1-2lb fish. Which can also be viewed as "luck" as well being in the right place at the right time. That's how I see it anyways. I wish they would mix it up- why should every event have the same format? I think mixing it up over the course of a season would be fun. Some events like this- some 5 fish limit events. Heck- make one a biggest bass event. Kinda like NASCAR having big tracks, short tracks, and road courses... merc1997 Bo and abkeenan 2

WeekendWarrior Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 They could have sponsor incentives, 1st place in group rounds (they may have this already), incentive for heaviest 5 fish bag, etc. I’m sure they will tweak and evolve as the fisherman themselves vote on the changes and will adjust for season 2 as needed.
m&m Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Is the BPT on a cable tv channel or do you have to watch it on the internet? Mike

The sponsors are already paying everything as there are no entry fees. snagged in outlet 3 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
