Was out there for a week and had a blast fishing for gills at Lake Perris. Caught my personal best right at 12" with a girth of 15.5".  It was just under 2.5 lbs.  Bluegills here have been averaging 9-10", wish I could find them that size here. I know 3 lbers are swimming in this lake.IMG_0521 (1).JPGIMG_0518.JPGIMG_0516.JPGIMG_0477.JPGIMG_0504 (1).JPGIMG_0513.JPG

Incredible fish, they look like Coppernose.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

And the northern gills the way they bite.

They make me want to keep my grease warm at night.

Dang it, I blew on in here ready to say the same thing! :D Looks like I'm about five days late.
