Don't think this stuff is exclusive to California.  

In case you missed it, since last summer a faculty group at KU has been protesting and organizing boycotts of the Chick Filet on campus because the owner closes on Sunday's due to his religious beliefs and has stated that he believes that marriage is an institution reserved for a man and a woman.

And that's just scratching the surface over at my ol' alma mater.

And I don't think anybody down your way needs any reminders of the stuff that's been going on in Columbia.

Gives a whole new meaning to the term, "Lack of Institutional Control".

Many of these “Woke” Universities now allowing you to get a degree in English without ever studying Shakespeare. He was just another mean old white oppressive type. 😒

Not a knock on a program or institution and... the field of study the institution specializes in and to an extent the programs a student chooses really impacts the experience.

I’ve recruited at a multiple career fairs (manufacturing and engineering) with little lunacy witnessed. Rolla has its share of odd however, it was suppressed for career fairs  

That said I avoided the section of campus with most of the BA programs when I was in school because of the same crap being discussed here.

That right there may be the biggest problem with college tuition/debt and the ideology spread at universities.  

Sure go spend that money on that degree in Art History.....see how well you can sell yourself to get your first job. Then moan and groan when the system shafts you.

Yeah what is it with people going 15-20 years into debt just to get a "career" that doesn't pay any better than an assistant manager position at a Quik Trip ?

So many of my daughters childhood friends studied HARD to get into Nursing......WHY?   That has to be right up there among the worst job choice's ever.   I've known lots of nurses, and have had several nurse girlfriend/lovers.....they are all miserable!    I honestly believe that 90% of them are only doing it because they think being a nurse affords the best opportunity to marry a Doctor, but that NEVER works out. 😂

If you don't explain to your kids the difference in earning potential from different degrees it's on you.  My kids have sat next to us paying bills and looking at the family budget in relation to earnings since they were little.  Suffer in a hard degree program to make more money or you can float through an easy degree program and never make enough to live on your own with a lifestyle you want.

Gentlemen, I have a BA in English with a minor in political science. The institution I attended was and still is considered one of the most effete, liberal, and expensive schools in the United States. (Edit: I went on scholarship and only had $10,000 of student loans.)

Do you realize how offensive , incorrect, and tiresome some of your remarks have been? Talk about stereotyping.
