N9BOW and i started at wildcat on thursday morning and headed up to jenkings creek. First cast Eric and i hooked up. We both said this is great. Well those where the only fish we caught out of there alot of short strikes. We fished a few other places think Eric caught 2 more. Myself was having a @JestersHK kinda messed up day breaking line ,snaggin trees above and below water, wrapping line around anything in the boat. Left and went to Rim Shoals went up and fished all over went down to Crooked Creek and ended up with 2 for me. We floated almost down to Buffalo City and Decided to call it around 4. Total 3 for me and 6 for Eric.

Quillback has more pics. I added another 43 fish today, but I didn’t take a single pic.

Waldo has a bad day. His motored konked out on Norfork. Hopefully, It will be a minor fix.

Rolled with Ham finally this morning and hit up a creek to find some fish.   Find them we did and had 100 fish in the boat in just a few hours.   I had 30 or so this morning before we decided to hit the Norfolk.

Then things took a nasty turn and we tried to work on Hams motor, but I couldn't diagnose past bypassing his fuel filter and checking flow and fittings...

I did hop in Brett's boat for the afternoon and continued whacking them pretty good.   Much larger fish than this morning, and I switched over to jerk bait after the first drift. Brett and I and his friend Nick put  115 in the boat and had some real dandys.

His best one was a beautiful 19in cutt.  I had one just shy of 18 and numerous over 15.  Was a great way to finish up the day minus the boat issues... they struck again this year.

Richard ate up his trolling motor prop, Brett's batteries went out, and Ham had his motor issues...

Great day though and Rick's chili was phenomenal for dinner this evening. I'll let the other boys post up, but sounded like every one had some pretty awesome times out there today.

Well the 7th Jigfest was another success and not  just because of the fishing, it was good seeing old friends made as well as new ones during these gatherings.
The fishing wasn’t great my first day, the high water flows of the white had dingy water and trash on Friday and the fishing was rough as Phil stated.  I invited my friend Nick to join us for his first experience on white river, it wasn’t I was hoping for his first experience there.   However the gatherings that evening and the Eric’s BBQ where awesome as usual.

Today was a different story, with the advice of Ham and ZigJigMan aka “the human seines”, some of us made a trek to the Norfork as the flood gates flows where at a decent level for fishing.   That decision turned out fantastic.  Nick fished with me till 2pm and we had 83 boated by the time he had to leave, and I mean some fat fiesty  rainbows with several cutthroats mixed in. Nick started the day with an 18 inch bow on the Second cast of the day, I knew then it was gonna be a good day!   DJ “JestersJK” joined me soon after and we continued to lay the smackdown as my son says on some heathy trout.  After my dismal day Friday fishing I stayed with the zig jig most of the day as I was shooting for 100 boated fish, DJ did well throwing jerkbaits as well.    My boat ended up boating 114 trout and my last fish of the day was a 19 inch Cut that fought like a smallmouth!  Hooked it right before a sketchy shoal and things got interesting as we where trying to keep the boat out of it and fight the stout fish!  This was actually my first ever fishing the Norfork, so was highly impressed and looking forward to going back soon.

The last pic is for Johnfolly, I hate he couldn’t make it this year but thought I’d do some micro brown trout fishing in his absence! :)    Another great gathering y’all, looking forward to more reports here! God Bless!

That's a brown trout that has big aspirations buddy. My kind of fish👍😀! Also he'll click as our friend @Ham will say.

Thanks for posting some food and fellowship shots. Miss that actually more than the fishing this year. Living vicariously through these photos. Some belong in the "why I love this site" thread.

Glad you guys had a great time and hope that I get to fish with you guys again next year.
