Flysmallie Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 I've taken a lie detector test before and I will never take another one. I had to take one when I was a lot younger. Someone was stealing a lot of product from a store that I worked in. The whole process was very intimidating but I knew I was innocent so I had nothing to worry about. I failed it miserably. Luckily the real thief broke down and admitted to it. But that doesn't remove the fact that I failed even though I had nothing to do with anything being stolen. Never again. If you fall into that group that doesn't register correctly then you have set yourself up to be considered guilty even if innocent. I wouldn't take one nor participate in a tourney that required one. If they were accurate enough to be used in any court or to impeach any politician, it might be acceptable in a fishing contest, but they are not. They prove nothing at all and can stain a persons reputation. liphunter 1

They told you that you did hoping to get some kind of a confession..... because they probably had no real evidence on ANYONE at that time. If you had broken down and confessed to ANYTHING that was contradictory to your words when initially interviewed.....then BOOM they now have real evidence in the form of a confession. (either semi or solid) It's a psychological trick that works more times than not. It isn't the "machine" that detects deception, it is the psychology scholar that is asking the questions. It's a mind game. Like I said earlier, with kids you can do it with a few gummy bears and some fishing line. With adults it helps to have something that appears way more technical. 😊 A special room, with a special chair facing AWAY from the "examiner", and some computer looking things, with lots of wires and sensors spread around. It's kinda funny really. Most criminals are STUPID.... therefore it usually works to get an initial confession, and one confession leads to another through interrogation. tjm 1
Seth Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 If anybody ever questions what I do in a tournament, wait a week and I'll have a video of it up on YouTube. 😁 Blazerman and JestersHK 2

Guys could learn alot of cool stuff about their boats/motors, and sharing it would be fun. Besides that, the days around here are absolutely hilarious at times and I bet the channel would go stupid crazy with views and subscriptions.....and of course I'd have a genuine blast in the comment section. 😁 The major deterrent is that I have zero patience for learning about the editing and formatting, lighting would probably be a constant issue, and I'm not sure about the legalities of posting interactions with various people without explicit consent....and all that crap. Too many headaches I'm afraid. But if I could do it, it would be awesome. Seth 1
Bill Babler Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Funny story, when I went on the MSWP 40 years ago, we all took a detector test for fun at the MSHP academy. There was an FBI agent there teaching a class on some type of federal regulation in regards to interstate thief or something of that nature. He took it about 1/2 dozen times and lied his posterior off every time and passed with flying colors. Some of his answers to the questions made the entire room come apart laughing. We also had a guy in our class that had been a Officer on the KCPD and he knew how to handle it too. They asked this guy at least a dozen questions and he lied on everyone of them and they said he had told the truth on every question. Of course both of these guys were under no pressure and were relaxed as they knew they were messing with it. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

fishinwrench Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Patreon will kill the QUALITY free info on YT pretty soon. Probably as soon as they partner with Google. Which is fine, as long as there's a way to get refunded if the instructional video is crap.
