You know that you are "Management"

I used to say that you could only be considered a true manager after you have had the opportunity to fire someone.

Well today I got another reminder that I am in management, when I was sent a photo of a dirty toilet (inside and outside the bowl) from the woman's bathroom, was told that this was the second such complaint, and asked in a very polite manner on what I intended to do about this situation. 

Talk about having to handle a crappy job !

I guess I always assumed the outside of the women's toilet would be spotless.

I learn not to volunteer for Management.

Was training people fresh out of College for Management, they be there few months then leave. Stupid me I went to the company asked them why not just make me Supervisor? They did.

Stupidest thing I ever did. Anything messed up it was my Back Side.

We only had one restroom.

Woah woah woah.....you hire someone directly on payroll to clean the bathroom?

 

I thought everyone outsourced that job at 3-5X the cost?

We have a public restroom here at Sims Marine.  It's over between the canoe rack and the pile of grenaded Mercury powerheads.    It never requires any cleaning.

When I worked a pizza restaurant and bar in High school, the woman's  room was way worse than the men's  room. And on Sat nights we often had to clean up vomit in the men's  room 🙄.

So to clarify, I personally did not have to clean up the mess but needed to set policy on how to clean up after yourself in a place of business.
