Covid Vaccine not be administered

This is on the TR forum because its news from a friend and Dr. In KC that called to book a May fishing trip. 

I was told this morning there are over a 1/4 million doses in KC area hospitals just sitting there not being administered do to state regulations that the general public and non " High Risk persons" cannot be vaccinated until May 1st. 

Even though he is a front line worker he says this is totally egregious.  He said the vaccine not only prevents you from catching covid it also keeps people from spreading it and should be immediately administered to anyone that wants it. 

He equated this to the exact thing that happened on the Titanic. If they had loaded the boats first come, first serve 90% more people would have been saved.  He said it is exactly that scenario. 

He told me that front line and high risk persons that want the shot have taken the first dose. He is also amazed at the numbers of those individuals that have refused the vaccine. 

He encouraged me to call the governor and my representatives to get this as he said totally stupid mandate changed as people are dying and getting infected when they have the means to slow this down just sitting on Ice

Totally agree, Bill.  

I have a younger brother for whom I am legal guardian that lives in a supported care home with 24/7 staff in Springfield.  Very similar to a nursing home in that he has not been able to leave the home or have outside visitors come in to the home since last March.  State law mandates this.

As you know, these types of facilities were supposed to be first in line to receive the vaccine.  So far, at least the home that my brother is in,  has yet to have been "partnered" with a CVS to receive the vaccine.  I've been in communication with the directors that are in charge of several of the homes.  They are not getting ANY word back on what the timeline to receive the vaccine will be.

The part where the Dr. said he's amazed at the number of people who don't want the vaccine. I'm one of those people. I've spent hours doing my own due diligence about it. No way in hell they are jabbing me with any of that stuff. Yuk!

God gave me an immune system . I'll just stick with that in this instance.

Even Dr. Fauci forgot what arm he got stabbed in the day after he supposedly got vaccinated. Was on TV rubbing his right shoulder saying it was sore, when they showed him getting the Jab in the  left arm the day before, what a  LIAR!

Just hope those who want it have access to it ASAP.

Looking at the AR numbers on the Dept. Health site, 134,000 have been delivered.  So far, 38,000 doses have been administered.  So there's almost 100,000 doses on hand in Arkansas.  

Yesterday 10,000 doses were received, 3,000 were administered.

Clearly there is a problem in getting the doses on hand into arms.

Actually, the States are running the admin.  Or should I say “not” admin. You can’t expect anyone to work the holiday, can you?  Agree with Bill’s doc friend that they should be administered FCFS if the locals can’t make a decision beyond making available to the health care providers already vaccinated.

TETO, I will get mine as soon as available...I could use the extra protein anyway.  😉. Thanks for stepping aside.

Yes, this is a State deal with very little Fed involvement. Fauci said the government is staying away and just making recommendations. 

Hunter53 wife is a Doc be interested in what he knows. 

Today is Dr. Day and an orthopedic doc also called to book his groups Spring trip. He said in Missouri its a total cluster ----.

I might be mistaken but I thought KY3 said the other day that Springfield Mo.  had 100,000 doses on hand and the front line folks were already taken care of   I might be off base on the numbers.
