dtrs5kprs Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Hate to even bring it up, but some pretty good dudes from TX just pulled into the room next to mine, with a jet boat bigger than my Excursion. It's like something out of Swamp People. Apparently there is some sort of three lake bowfishing deal going on. Said Table Rock, Bull, and Truman are the lakes they can be on. Of course I suggested Truman and Bull would have the best clarity, and biggest carp. magicwormman, vernon, cheesemaster and 1 other 4

Dutch Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 I hat to have them around when I am trying to fish at night. dtrs5kprs 1
vernon Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Those guys have been there three or four times when we've been there and in general I find them to be pretty rude. Especially when they're out there "scouting" or whatever they're doing during the day. They've literally ran right over my line on more than one occasion when I'm like twenty yards from the bank! I gotta say though, those nuclear lights they use are pretty impressive....... crazy4fishin, Quillback, dtrs5kprs and 1 other 4 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." skeeter Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 They claim on F'book they are "helping" the Bass during the spawn by ridding the Lake of the rough fish that suck all the eggs off of Bass' nests. No idea if that is true or not but I hope they are able to differentiate Bass from their targeted rough fish at night. Looks like this heavy rain and storms is going to reduce water clarity.
Quillback Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 The "We're saving the bass" argument is weak, very weak. Why not just say that they're a bunch of guys that like to go out at night and shoot fish? dtrs5kprs and evilcatfish 2
top_dollar Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 How dare anyone enjoy table rock for anything other than catch and release bass fishing. What jerks. dtrs5kprs, BilletHead, bfishn and 3 others 3 2 1

I've not had trouble with any of them, after getting used to the UFO like quality of the lights and boats those first few years. Of course I don't night fish much. They asked where to go to find carp here. Was at a loss. Haven't seen any in two days. Before all the rain, I'd have thought Bull would be better, with the bushes.
m&m Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 First time I saw one of those boats at night I thought someone called the Water Patrol on me and they sent the swat team. Talked to them and they enjoyed the competitive spirit of carp tourneys because of the bow hunting. Mike dtrs5kprs 1
