Unlimited $$$$. wow! I would travel and follow the best bite all around the country. I guess I'd like to be Al Linder or Doug Stange without the cameraman or deadline. Mostly I would support friends and family so some of them could join me. Nothing is more fun than a road trip to Canada, Lake Erie, Wolf river for White bass, all at the best time! Have you ever spent a week on a houseboat in Canada...the best!I would not necessarily need the most expensive of everything. Don't need the most expensive car, biggest house, 70k bass boat or fancy clothes. I would find a way to properly vet some of those in need and ease those needs. I cringe when watching rich people spend thousands on shoes or a purse. Don't need a villa in France. You know, I think I'm living the dream now but I would love to find a good landscaper. In the movie Platoon, there is a quote that if you make it home, the rest is all gravy. I made it home so...Wow, I guess I'm really happy! I hope to make others happy too.

We are not rich. We are upper middle class, and retired.

I have more toys than I need. My wife has a "sewing machine" that costs what a small car costs, new.

We do not worry about the bills.

The only limits on what we do are good sense and safety.

None of these things were true until 15 or 20 years ago. But, now that they are, we measure a different way.

Have we done enough to make someone else smile? Have we increased the odds someone else has a chance to be where we are? Have we paid forward? Have we used our "power" for good?

We have been blessed, and we know it. We hope all of you, and all you know, may one day find the same place.

If you have or do, the world needs you to share. Not just the money.

After all, it is the Christmas season.

If I had all the money I’d ever need I would first make sure my kids & grandkids were out of debt. If money was no problem, I’d hire a guide every day I wanted to fish, regardless of the body of water. While there may be other things that come to mind for me personally, I believe I’d get a lot of enjoyment paying it forward by creating a philanthropy to help people get over a hump.
interesting thread Mr. Babler.

Maybe it’s just me put I’d buy every piece of property along shoal creek from the falls to empire lake and restore it to nature…

them buy out all the property in the elk river drainage and do the same, bull dozing a large poultry processing facility….

MONKEYS? what monkeys?

I would make sure that my kids and grandkids had a safety net. I wouldn't  want them to not work or strive to achieve on their own but have that security if needed. I would want land and water that I can control. Big enough plot(s) to make a difference.

In terms of fishing I would give Steve Wozniak a run for his money in terms of different species caught. Lots of equipment would be needed to accomplish that goal.

I'd definitely buy as much property as I could and restore it to nature. I really miss my younger days in the 50s and 60s quail hunting.

I have been known to take day trips to Pickwick, 4-5 hours one way.  Long day in fall and winter, 3 am to 11 pm normally.

I used to take off on Friday night. Get to Fork at 1 or 2. Sleep a few hours. Fish all day and then head home. I bet I've done that a least a couple dozen times. It's about 8 hours.

Screw that!    I've done it too, plenty.   But nowadays if I have to drive more than 1.5 hours..... I'm staying the night, or maybe a couple days.      It seems to be getting harder as time goes on, to find a crib that I'd like to spend a night or two at.  Everything is either booked solid, or gross.

That's a normal fishing day for me and my family. Most every place to fish around us is over an hour and more like 1.5 to 3 hours one way. Even back in Columbia a trip to the Current was a 300 mile round trip. Just always live near I work and not where I play i guess.

My goal was always to live and work near where I play.   But it never fails that no matter where you are the grass is always greener 100+ miles away.
