Fishing Goals 2022

Recommended Posts

I had intended to only have one Fishing Goal this year. My intention was for My only Goal being to Keep it Goofy. Just fish for Fun! If I somehow wanted to fish for Bluegill 365 days in a row, JUST DO THAT.  Just fish the moment and not be so Goal oriented. I seemingly can't do that.; I'm wired wrong.

sooooooo

1) Keep it Goofy

2) > 3000 fish

3) Get Life List to 200 Species (I am at 164 right now)

I have other stuff in my head, but I am (mostly) keeping that crazy stuff to myself.

I wish Everyone The Best of Luck in 2022 and I hope All Your Fishing Dreams Come True.

Here are mine in order of importance:

Gila Trout

Apache Trout

NM trout slam

1 level of Arizona trout challenge

2 more Arkansas Master Anglers

1 trout park lunker(not RR)

I've got a couple more want-to's on the list but I'm not sure how travel will work out.

Have not forgot getting you our Gila and Apache spots. We succeeded and so can you :)

No concrete goals for myself except to get out and fish.  Might do a little more bream fishing this year.

Ham, make sure you have some time to come on over here for some bream fishing this spring/summer.  Maybe we can get that Zigjig guy to join us.

My goals are easy this year... Just go fish.  I put down my clicker last year and although I'm still counting in my head I fished allot just to fish and it did me right.

I fished at least 3 or 4 times a week on my lunch breaks when weather was nice, I'll likely continue to do that, but by end of year was bored picking on my pets...

I have 2 streams left for bluebribbon challenge I might get to,  but I'm going to try and scale things back and not be so mad at em...

Going to chase brooks, Cutts, and tigers down on the white more.  So want to figure out night time bite down there.

I'm also gonna try to do some relaxing fishing.  Maybe even take a night off and BBQ with some beers... maybe :)

good luck to you all this year.   Hope to run into a bunch of ya this year too.

Mine is always the same.  Go every time I can.  Even when I think I won't catch anything.  Like a high muddy river.  I kind of abandoned numbers for trophies years ago but it's still nice to have a catching day even if they're not trophies.  I think this year I'll put down the big baits more and just try and catch more fish.  I go long stretches without catching and sometimes that gets old....  That mentality makes it more of of a win or lose thing.  Heck I had some trips this past year when I didn't even catch the target species but looking back they were really good days to be fishing.  Lots of catching and action.  I don't want to lose that.

As the sticker on my truck says, a bad day fishing is better than a good day working......
