Also, there are plenty of fishing threads, but they are clearly not as interesting or divisive as political arguments, so they tend to only generate a few replies.    

I’m astonished there are threads on here that discuss things like politics and vaccines. On the same token I’m astonished that they get shut down if you guys are gonna discuss that monkey dodo, seems weird to me to start discussing that stuff and then it gets shut off as soon as someone’s feelings get hurt ??? Why open that door and go thru it InThe first place ?? I’ll go back to remaining silent it’s best for everyone lol.

Okay here I went to the Mississippi River on Sunday on a total whim. I fished right at a creek that runs into the river in North County below Chain of Rock bridge. I completely lucked out and there were fish there. I threw a 5inch swimbait from LiveTarget as that was still on my big rod from January. Caught 2 Drum, 2 Largemouth which was huge bonus and 7 hybrids all very very good size from 25.5 inches to 28, none were weighed. There’s my report and my location very easy to Find if you know how to use Google maps and you don’t mind parking in the ghetto, Going to that spot when the fish are there is another 😜

Thanks.  I have a tendency to give ppl a benefit of the doubt - too much lead on the rope.  And it turn ugly almost every time.  I hate it we can't discuss other things but you're right - this is a fishing forum and we should keep it that.  But some of it may be that there's not enough fish talk and ppl get bored.  FB has taken over and there's no way to battle it.  We use FB because it's a free tool and it works.

IMO a successful message board is one that keeps its members checking in routinely.     Even if nobody has anything earth shattering to report regarding any current fishing NEWS there's always something interesting or controversial.....or hilarious going on here.    

It isn't the fishing that makes this place a daily pitstop for me..... it's the people. 

There's alot more that gets talked about in the kitchen, besides food.   👍
