Typically you don't see this type of segregation in the face of a REAL THREAT.

During a real genuine threat you see people of all walks come together, regardless of politics, religion, race, gender, ect.

Both political parties have been  pushing division for years, I think they swap out incumbency just often enough to stir the pot.   A divided populace is the best way to implement central control. Keep the groups at odds with each other over stupid stuff  and none will become strong enough to threaten the controllers.  They have really gotten mileage out of this "pandemic" and they  will continue to as long as the public watches videos and listens to broadcast media.

Phil thinks moderation actions should be explained and I'm fine with that, so here you go.

1.  The first thread was locked by me due to multiple personal insults in the thread, not what the video did or did not present.

2.  I deleted the second post of the same video because the first thread went bad and there is no reason to expect anything different in the follow up posts of the same video.

3.  I have no idea if deleting the original post in the second thread also deleted the first thread because of the same content.  But no one intentionally deleted the first thread.

Why is everybody across the internet so soft these days?

Learn to not take things personally or don't engage. It's not hard. It's a shame people can't have discussions about important issues without somebody getting offended.

I thought it was a good discussion amongst most of us yesterday, disagreements and all.

Pass around dangerous misinformation and you deserve to be insulted and ridiculed.

The post started with something like I only wish "to inform", and this information is "critical", but then had the chincy caveat to "keep an open mind", as if to say I know many won't believe this stuff because it is a little bonkers.  And it was.

The government passes out dangerous misinformation all the time, always has. The USS Maine, Pearl Harbor, Ira Hayes, USS Turner Joy, weapons of mass destruction are just highlights. But all that gets a free pass. I guess that after a while all this stuff dished out by the political handlers over the last couple of years will be accepted too.

How about instead you engage by providing proof that the said information is wrong and dangerous.

Insulting and ridiculing is over the top.  It's not something anyone should do to anyone.

Note: I didn't watch the video nor will I.  I'm not interested nor do I have time.

All of these are military incidents and everyone questioned the WMDs at the time. COVID information is coming from multiple source at all times. Some government, some academic, non-academic healthcare, etc. There is continual confirmation from multiple sources as well as decades of infectious disease protocols. You're making a class false dichotomy logical fallacy. The average infectious disease doctor is not controlled by the government or the CDC and would probably love to blow the lid of any government conspiracy.

You linked an "article" about who didn't attend. That's a Press Release from Ron Johnson, not an article. There is a difference. Articles involve responsible journalists who vet each facet of the story and arrive at an objective truth, which is also different from an opinion and political commentary. Readers need to understand how to differentiate.
