I know the Prince show gets touted as the best half time show ever, but I just don't see what the big deal is. Everybody is like "OMG it started raining when he started to sing Purple Rain". I guess it's not my cup of tea from a music perspective, which is odd because I really do like about every genre there out there. I'll listen to gangsta rap, 90s country, EDM and bluegrass all in one sitting and enjoy every bit of it.

Lady Gaga and the Bruno Mars/Red Hot Chili Peppers shows are up at the top for me personally. There are plenty I've not watched though so that could change if I actually watched them all.

Despite news sources saying all players stood for the anthem they're were a few Rams who decided to keep up the disgraceful classless disrespect to our flag and kneel.  They weren't shown on TV but if you watched close in the full screen shots you can see them. 

So all in all I only wasted around 30mins of my day.

 

Agreed watching football is for pussies, I could careless if they kneel. I was chopping wood most of the first half and painting baits for the evening.  I saw a phantom penalty as I turned it on near the end and chuckled and turned it back to Dirty Jobs lol

Agreed. I could barely make out what 50 cent was saying. His slurring style is hard enough to understand and washed out vocals made it really bad. IMO they should limit the show to no more than three artists. There were several songs I wanted to hear from each but there just wasn't enough time.

The only singing that was live was dre/snoop, rest was lip syncing.

I am not a football fan but I was nursing a bad hangover so I figured I would watch for the commercials

You are 100% correct that time could be better spent. I absolutely love football but the only time I watch is when there isn't something else to do. I'd much rather be fishing anytime or hanging out with the family.

Like @Terrierman I will take HS sports over all others. And it's not because I know those kids anymore. 

But at the same time I don't let their personal beliefs affect what I chose to do. Especially if it wouldn't have even been a thing is the media didn't make it a thing. I don't take the time to find out personal beliefs of everyone I come in contact with to see if I should allow them to exist in my head. That would take a lot of effort and wouldn't mean a dang thing. I just can't accept the "shut up and dribble" mentality.

I picked up on the lip sync too. It's undeniable.   

Too much going on in all different directions, and too much camera jumping around.   It may have been cooler live..... but the TV coverage was annoying.   

My youngest kid thought it was great though.....so maybe I'm just too old to appreciate it.
