One Bad Trip in Aunts Creek

Now in my mid-late sixties, I've been fishing Table Rock since the seventies. Buddy trips, club trips, family trips. Everyone of them a great time.... until last week. We always stay at a well know resort on the the main Aunts Creek arm and it was our annual trip with 8 close friends and family members. We arrived on Tuesday and caught few keepers during the week battling the falling water conditions and high winds. Went down to the dock on Saturday morning to find a lot of our tackle stolen. 5 out of 8 of our guys had their gear stolen and it was all high quality. It’s so sad that people work so hard to have nice things and some scums of the earth take advantage of good innocent people. Just wanted everyone to know that this is the second time that this resort got hit this year and wished the they would have warned us of the earlier incident when we arrived.

I hate thieves!!

Heard to many of these things happening so we never leave our boat in a dock. Put it on trailer every time we get off the lake.

Don't know how competent law enforcement is around there but someone should set up a sting operation. Draw some of these knuckleheads out of the shadows and punish them hard and set a precedent for future cases.

Only been robbed once. Maybe I've been lucky.

The poor, the druggies, the idiot teen males, and the desperate only see the the money without investment.

We can't teach morals to those groups. Heaven knows I tried. We can only punish, and that does not change much. More than one of my former students has served time, or is still doing so. If I do not look to the good side, I become very sad.

It's getting bad. Had a delivery vehicle that had a hole drilled in the gas tank last week just to get 5 gallons of gas.

I bought a locking gas cap about a month ago.   You can’t trust anyone.
