My first Physical Therapy,  or as I've read on here, Pain and Torture (PT)  session is this afternoon.   I hope to get a gauge of my abilities in the next few weeks to make a decision for Jigfest.  I really want to attend,  but gotta be more able than I am right now.

Good luck. I hope everything goes well.

Dang buddy those accident pics are tough to see... so very glad everyone survived.

You got some sweet hardware in there now buddy.  We can be xray buddies lol.  It's fun setting off metal detectors although my MRI tech was not amused about my extra hardware.

You will 100% know when the weather is coming brother.   Stick with your PT too, and know you will get back to 100% I know you will bud.

PT yesterday afternoon and this morning.   I actually feel good about it.   It's only for my right leg, as I'm non weight bearing on the left for a few weeks yet.  I've talked to many who wished they would have taken their PT more seriously,  so I'm all in.  My goal is 100% mobility.

Still unsure of my condition come December,  strong possibility of a walking cast.  That will keep me from attending if so.  But we will see.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, prayers and positive vibes.   I really do appreciate all of you.

  • 3 months later...

So it is time for an update, I guess.

I was able to remove my walking boot last Thursday. I am now limping a little less some times and a little more other times. I am also able to slowly and carefully get up and down my stairs into the basement where my office is. It is nice getting back to somewhat normal.

PT is showing the rewards and benefits. I do try to always do my exercises but there are just those days where the pain from over doing it the previous day really makes it impossible. I still have a long road, but I can definitely see the progress made. I haven't been using my wheelchair much unless it will be a really long day of walking.

I am really grateful for the stores having the electric carts. Those really make a difference.

I'm not able to walk up and down the bank to the creek, but have a local pond I can visit. I have been tying a few flies for bluegill, can't wait for spring.

Thanks for all the thoughts,  prayers,  positive vibes and just plain responding on here.  It really makes my journey much easier.  I really do appreciate it,  alot more than I ever considered.
