Bill Babler Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Man, they were out in droves yesterday. We’re building a new garage so I was home most all day looking at the Lake. From daylight till sunset there was not a minute that a least two boats were not in Hobbs Hollow Cove. Did run into SK to Meeks and it looked like the ramp was over flowing. BFL this weekend so it starts. I’ve gotten 8 calls since Sunday noon for info. From the looks of it going to be miserable this weekend. Rain and highs in the 40’s. Good buddy and his grandson just hammered them yesterday. He is going to fish the BFL so can’t reveal any info. Dutch Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 The upper James was busy. I’m guessing I saw 40+ boats yesterday. When we left there were 22 truck/trailer rigs on the lot.
Quillback Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I fished one of the Bella Vista lakes yesterday, fairly good number of boats out here too. It's getting to be that time of year for the fiberglass hatch. cheesemaster 1
Champ188 Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 So glad I'm in a position these days to fish a lot on weekdays. And I'm done with the Bella Vista lakes as long as they're gonna "manage" them as swimming pools --- i.e., little to no fertilizing program, meaning almost zero aquatic vegetation of any kind and a weak food chain from the bottom up. Oklahoma's gonna be getting a good percentage of my fishing dollars from here out ... Grand and Tenkiller especially. rps and cheesemaster 2
fshndoug Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 It doesn't matter what day you fish anymore. There are tons of people fishing every day of the week. Those are all those people that are working from home, what a bunch of BS . bobby b., Champ188, MOstreamer and 1 other 2 1 1
fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Just listen to you all 🙄 20+ years ago everybody wanted to screw and make babies. As many as you could possibly feed. After that, it was all about teaching them to love fishing. "Teach your kids to fish" you said. It was even on billboards and in magazines. Now they have all grown up, bought boats of their own.....and suddenly THEY ARE IN YOUR WAY! Clogging up boat ramps, coves, points, ect. Darn the luck! 😂 We should have kept our peckers in our pants, and kept our fishing gear to ourselves. Or at least left them at home playing video games like they WANTED TO in the first place. But NOOOO, just had to get those kids outside! 🙄 It's only gonna get worse from here on out. 😅 Ryan Miloshewski, top_dollar, crazy4fishin and 10 others 4 9

Dutch Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Why can’t you guys stick to the subject instead of falling off the ledge? Surely you can go to web sites that cater to those thoughts instead of mucking up fishing forums. rps, curtisce, Bassin4fun and 1 other 4
Dock-in-it Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Mill creek boat ramp has been busy for the last several days with guys practicing for the BFL. I was fishing this morning out deep over trees with a 3" swimbait and got hung up. I placed my boat over the snag and was able to free my bait, but I noticed a steady resistance while retrieving my lure and thought it was fishing line. I was surprised to see it was a chandelier A-Rig ( in good shape). I guess it was legal with 3 hooks. MarkG52, Bassin4fun, evilcatfish and 1 other 2 2

I was just reflecting on how they got that way. 🤷♂️ slabseeker, Champ188 and Daryk Campbell Sr 3
