When was the last time that generator was started ?

October.  I was getting Election Day Apocalypse preps ready.  Plenty of fuel in storage in bass boat and cans.

Had to break into go bag for some canned chicken for supper tonight.  My crock pot did now work for the pork roast today.  Going to have to fire the generator in the morning and run the cooling devices for while.

I have Bauer tools and many batteries.  The Radio, Invertor, and lights have come in handy today.  All running off fully topped off batteries that I went thru last nite.

We are at about 2-3 inches of pure sleet here in Festus.   It's blown around quite a bit.  I'm not aware of any power outages around me.   We have no outside responsibilities for a few days, and school was called off for tomorrow for my kids.  Pantry and freezers are full, plenty of propane and charcoal.   We have a room in the basement we can retreat to in case of power failure.   It won't get to far below 50 degrees.   We will be fine.

I went out to shovel the path to the bird bath and get them some seed.  Solid 15's even though I shoveled it twice yesterday.   Granted it was blown in there, but still.   I measured out in the yard and several places in the cul de sac and on average got 15".  I shoveled the driveway 4 times yesterday and I have another 8" or so on it.....Weather app says we got 1.95" in the last 24 hours.  Even our PA and Chicago offices said per google that we only got 5".  WHAT!?!?

Looks like we got another 4-5”s from the wrap around tail of it last night.  I’m getting too old to shovel all this snow😆

After two rounds yesterday I said screw it, I'm waiting until it's done. Went out this morning and got the driveway cleared for take off and the deck for the birds. They are eating me out of house and home last two days. Had 37 cardinals on the deck yesterday evening.

Lots of ice inch of snow. I would rather have the deep snow than that ice. Even though we didn't loose power many did with the ice. Trees with leaves that had not shed yet created limbs that are down. I feel for the ones that are out of power. Taking the ice picture the mousdash froze up.

Scooped part of the drive and the walk twice yesterday. The missus is out there this morning taking off about another 2-3 inches. The official event total at KCI is 11 inches. It is windy enuff around here that it's drifted and there's a pretty wide range of depths, but 11 is probably close for us. The city pretreated Saturday night, but the plows haven't made it here yet. Don't care -- not going anywhere. 8 degrees here right now.
