There are trout in every state?  That could be interesting.   One way to fish and visit every state.

Thats what I am trying to do. Catch a fish in every state. I don’t have to do it on fly or anything.

I talked with @LittleRedFisherman about this, and we believe this year is number 12 or 13.

a t-shirt would be cool.  my wife can make them

*******edit******

I searched the forum and the first year looks like it was 2013 so this year makes year 12.

2013 = 1

2014 = 2

2015 = 3

2016 = 4

2017 = 5

2018 = 6

2019 = 7

2020 = 8

2021 = 9

2022 =10

2023 = 11

2024 = 12

2025 = 13

Arkansas public school math vs Missouri public school math.  Let's go with Jigfest 13 what say?

Yeah, that subtraction thing doesn't always work right. Best to use fingers and toes in these cases.

2013 was the first one.  Here’s some pics I dug up from that event.  I love the friendships made through this event and forum over the years

I seem to remember on that was canceled due to potential ice, and the first Taneyfest was in lieu of it.  Turns out the weather down there was better than what we had in Branson.

I seem to remember one that was changed up at the last minute due to potential ice, and for the first time, Jigfest was held at an alternative location with water and beds.  Turns out the weather down there was better than what we had in Branson.

Fixed that for you.

It was NOT cancelled, just held on a neutral field.  Taneyfests came later as a copycat pale imitation of the real deals.

I'm still calling this one Jigfest 13.

I was hoping to get two new states this year - AL and OR. Alabama is not likely to happen but still have hope to get a few OR fish in Nov.

100% ill advised.....but when you wanna catch a trout in every state.

I track the states where I have caught trout. If I can get one in each state would be a nice secondary goal. I am more likely to follow the Billetheads and go for the different subspecies of trout across the country. That fits more in my goal to catch 500 different species and subspecies of fish.
