Some will float regardless of how much you weight them down. I'm done with them. I own dozens of Megabass, RC STX, Jackal, Lucky Craft and SPRO baits. I've won more money on the RC STX than any of them. Yes, you may get a bad one every now and then, but they are a decent bait and not a bad alternative for guys who don't want to empty their wallets for MB baits. abkeenan, dtrs5kprs, magicwormman and 2 others 5
Travis Swift Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 off topic slightly but not by a bunch. what water temp do you guys stop throwing a jerkbait or do you? KVD fishes it all year but I don't see or hear a lot about other guys fishing it past say 55 degrees?
Smalliebigs Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 I will take a Jackall suspending Squad minnow over an RC STX any day of the week. Luck-E-Strike RC STX are garbage IMO....a Jackall at almost the same price is not even a thought for me. MOsmallies 1

Fish will eat a stick in warm water too. Everyone just stops throwing it. magicwormman, abkeenan and Champ188 3
*T* Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Well, fish a bait & color you have confidence in, and you have had success on the body of water you are currently fishing. I knew a guy that in the Summer after hitting a few brushpiles and not getting bit he would pick up a jerkbait and save the day every time. I have tried that a bunch....But it never worked for me. I think you just have to believe in it and keep covering water. Patience is not a quality I possess. Dewayne French, magicwormman, vernon and 3 others 6
jolicious Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Hopeitworks I like shiny when it's clear, and shiny when it's not. I like shiny in the cold water, as well as when it's hot Shiny here Shiny there I do NOT have shiny underwear :-) I have been messing around with color-shifting paint, and that practice has made its way into my jerkbait collection. I hope the video attached correctly. Champ188, Sore Thumbs, magicwormman and 2 others 5

I've caught fish on an old big rogue at Truman fishing bluff ends in August. If they're suspended, or at least looking up, there's a chance they'll eat a stick. Dock corners, fronts, and schoolies too. Don't throw one into a school of whites or K's.
