Is the fishing good or bad at LOZ compared to Table Rock? I have never been there.

LOZ is a much better largemouth lake. But no brown fish, and the locals seem to hate spots.

I find LOZ kind of boring. Lot of similar banks, manicured coves.

You act as if the COE is concerned about fishermen. It has been made clear to me in multiple conversations with COE personnel exactly how far down the list of importance fisherman are. Hint : we aren't Top 5.

Congress would have to provide the funding and direction to the COE for facilities expansion/upgrades.  Wouldn't matter where we are on the COE's priority list.  There was some facilities work done last year, but relatively minor stuff.  If the $1 trillion proposed infrastructure deal goes through, sure would be nice to see some of that money directed towards COE facilities (not that I am holding my breath on that one).

If it's true that the COE is against all this expansion maybe somebody at the top "with a pair" could tell the politicians to shove it or maybe they too are just there for the paycheck.

Really?

How many times have you told your bosses to "shove it" and how'd it go?

And of course most of them are there for the paycheck.  How many people aren't?

Like most jobs in America and around the world you do what you're told to do or you go do something else.

I've personally witnessed numerous exchanges when COE leaders were trying passionately to dissuade politicians from proceeding with what they believed to be harmful legislation to little or no avail but at the end of the day the COE ain't in charge or making the final decision.

When employed by the federal government not doing what you're told can land you in jail.  Most of the higher ups in the COE are active duty, green suit wearing Army officers who will be mowing grass at Ft. Leavenworth if they decide they know better than those they work for.

Not everything is like what you see in Washington and on TV.

There are wake boats and thunder boats on Stockton too.  People have different ideas about what's fun.  It's great that we have so many opportunities.  I wish my neighbors didn't like those noisy four wheelers but guess what.  Not my call.

Please don't bash the COE for this deal, blame the politicians that tell the COE what to do and when, where and how to do it.

NOBODY at the COE stands to make a dime off of any of this stuff and I would bet almost anything that they remain fundamentally opposed to it.

However, the politicians will make many, many millions off of the increased "recreation" dollars that are actually all about real estate.

Listen to the man. The COE was his life's work. This problem is rooted at the congressional level.

LOZ is a bass factory. We all love TR but it is not even in the same league. Tournaments up there generally take well above 20 pounds to win and 15 will rarely get you a check.
