I'm all in favor of occasional travel to go do cool stuff, but all this driving across the state people do daily just to avoid doing their laundry is rediculous.

They might as well live in a trailer park if all they are gonna do at home is sleep, poop, and take a shower.

My pet peeve is people driving their kids about 100 feet to the school bus stop.  And sitting there idling while waiting for the bus to come.  Then repeating when the bus drops the kid off.

Nah, open up a shop that specializes in putting new engines in the "old" trucks, then guys like me can afford a truck.  Do they make 2 stroke truck engines?

Hey now!  I resemble that remark LOL!  Rule of thumb is you have to fish at least as long as it takes you to drive there and back...

I also commute 54 miles each day round trip to work...

I know I'm still a youngster to some at 38,

I went from a 8 mile commute in Columbia to a 16 mile commute in Maryland. But you know me, willing to drive 8 to 9 hours round trip to fish for four hours and catch one fish :D! When I set my mind to catch a trout in every designated trout stream and trout park in Missouri (and ribbon section, e.g., fished both blue and white sections to count; did not include the urban lakes, but have caught trout in 6 so far ;)), I stopped tracking miles when I got over 2000. At that time I still had to catch a trout below Fall Creek in Taneycomo and the Blue and Red Ribbon sections of the North fork of the White. Both of those became family trips.

Oh and DJ you still are a youngster :P!

Yep, and my wife does this. Drives me crazy!

When she was leaving for Hawaii she made sure I knew the exact times to be at the bus stop.

I watched them get off the bus from the front porch and hollered ..... Your LEFT, Your LEFT. Your LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT !

Nothing like walking uphill, both ways, in the snow to get to that bus stop!

(Says the dad who picked his kids up today from the bus stop during the snowstorm) lol

Just don't complain about global warming and I am OK with it.  😃

       Fixed it for you.

So you have read and followed our trips each Summer for the last few years? Go ahead and tell me how you really feel about what we do and the miles we drive for them there little trout :) .  Oh BTW we do laundry in many of those states along the way.
