Is that you, Mr. Gibbons?

:D

I legitimately laughed out loud. Hysterical. Pete Wenners, Eric Prey, Buster Loving, etc..those are where I get my reports from. Maybe I'll try Chris, though..

I'm not judging the guy's fishing knowledge, ability, etc. and I always appreciate anyone that directly or indirectly attempts to provide information that might help me catch more fish but I do think he could use an editor if not an outright ghostwriter.

My eyes cross and my head hurts when trying to decipher some of those orthographic expressions.

It's been many, many years yet the old English teacher in me can be a cruel and critical snob at times........

I hate me.

I drive most of my friends and family batty with my annoying habit of correcting their speech and writing although I'm not trying to embarrass them - just point out the difference so they don't really embarrass themselves at work or out in public.

I hate to admit it but I even do it with text messages.

But as I keep telling all of them, it takes all of, like, ten seconds to read what you just wrote BEFORE you hit "send" or post something and you just might avoid looking like some illiterate stooge.

Of course, they keep telling me that they flat don't care and to go pound sand so there's that.......

Got this text yesterday.  BP TOC ML Fstb  Humong Sl DK

Friend of mine telling me he was at Bass Pro's tournament of Champions and Mark Liddell just got the ball on a fast break and had a Monster slam dunk.

My sons a chemical engineer and his texts are not even close to being as informative or literate as the one above.  Text are just very age specific.

Kind of like new math, you get it or you don't.   In my case I'm so stupid I can read it fine.

You don’t have to have perfect grammar but if you can’t  take the time to try just a little then you can forget about me taking the time to respond. That text that Bill posted would have been bad for the person sending it.

Being in corporate training I get a lot of questions. They can call, email, text, whatever. They know I will respond to anything. But they quickly learn they will have to try to get their questions answered.

With friends out of any business situation, most regardless of slang, abbreviation, spelling or incomplete structure are pretty easy to interpret.  I'm not real up on my emoji's and that is where I struggle if the text is a complete emoji and I have received many of those.

I called the number and he answered right away.  I told him he was being spoken of on here and he said "yeah I know".

Hope you told him to hurry up and hire a PR firm before his guide business aspirations sink before they ever float.
