The news about Bo is very hard to hear.  I always admire his ability being able to put them in the boat on Table Rock.
May his family find comfort during this season of adjustment.

Really enjoyed the bantering between Bo and Champ in the early years of the forum. Seemed like the past few years it turned to so much mutual respect between the two.

Can’t replace a guy like that 10’s of thousands of hours of Table Rock knowledge went to rest with him.

Our deepest condolences from everyone here in his OAF Family.

Thanks for that observation, Bill. I will openly admit, when I first came across Bo and his seemingly outlandish posts, I strongly suspected he was full of it. And full of himself. But as the years passed and he posted pic after pic of his trips, I never once caught him in a fib or came across anything damning in his photos. Believe me, I tried. 😂

I came to realize along the way that this guy could fish. He believed what he believed and he put it to practice like the expert he was. You want to see some spoon fishing talent, watch his YouTube videos. Pretty impressive, especially when you look at the outdated electronics he was using at that time. He never did buy into livescope ... heck, he didn't need it.

There was one issue that we finally agreed to disagree on, and that was line visibility in clear water. In fact, both of us realizing the other wasn't going to budge might have been the point at which we realized that we had a lot of respect for each other.

I believe Bo knew Jesus as Lord and Savior and that he is up there now in a shiny new BassCat dropping a spoon on mixed schools of river LM, SM and spots. I hope to join him one day.

Man I'd be happy to fish with you, but if this is mid-lake then I have to bring my dog, he's not a good boat dog so I won't be bringing my boat.

Maybe your dog it the one who hid the hot dog under the seat.

I like Andy's idea of a 3 fish limit ands weigh in, it would be an individual limit, not a boat limit and we could also do big fish.  We'll have to get someone to volunteer to be the weighmaster and keep track of the weights.

I think we should hold the weigh-in and get together at Aunts Creek, the campground will be closed and I am told it is a good ramp to launch from should anyone choose to launch from there.  I've never been there so I'm assuming it will work out for us.

Well put James. I just loved his pictures of rain run off fishing. He had that deal dialed in for sure. Black/blue jig and craw.

Along with the bass he sure caught the beejeebers out of the whites on those spoons.

Lots of us are this or that or we prefer to catch them this way or that way. Bo could do it anyway, deep or shallow.

He had as much passion for night fishing as anyone I can ever remember and was tremendous at it.

He sure didn't like folks strolling a jig or C-rig and that was his prerogative.

He caught them like he wanted to but a dollar to a donut he could catch them better than most could fishing the way they wanted to.  If that makes sense.

Many times I private message him for some advice and he answered as best he could every time.

Don't know weather he and Beck had ever had a run in, but there seemed to be an uneasiness there, also with several of the Shell Knob locals. He was nothing but kind to me.

I'll truly miss him.

Just absolutely hate to hear this. Never met Bo in person but we PM'd each other a couple of times a year about this or that related to fishing. His knowledge of Table Rock and the surrounding Ozark lakes is and was second to none. His simplistic approach to fishing is a throwback and something to be admired in a time of graphs and other technology that teeters on skewing the competitive balance of man versus their quarry. Same can be said for his boat an equipment. All from the 90s or perhaps even earlier. Didn't matter. Simple and effective. It's was actually quite refreshing to see. Nothing but respect for Bo as a fisherman and more importantly as person. Willing to divulge any hard gained info, give an honest answer or help in any way where he could.

Condolences to his family, including that little fishing buddy dog of his.

Rest easy, Bo.

Quill and crew - I am in for a tourney! 3 fish or 1 works for me.

I agree about the entry fee going to CAM, or any other ministry that has a need, but we could also bring fishing gear to donate in Bo's name to the school...someone should reach out and see what the needs are so we are not donating that Bill Dance eel lure that I am sure we (me) bought into. 🙄

I have the Amazing Flying Lure.  Not gonna part with it though.  Took me many years to acquire it. That was my first As Seen On TV "need".
