My neighbor and I fished below Cape Fair today we couldn’t get bit except on plastic.  We caught fish everywhere we stopped.  We used shaky and Ned.  We caught fish on every color that we threw except Meat Dog.  We caught 49 greenies and spots with 7 nice keepers.  We fished from 8:30-2:30.  Only 1 other rig was in the lot when we arrived and only 2 others when we left.

I did not see another boat until about 10 AM yesterday.  But then a few started showing up.  BFL this Saturday, it will start getting busy out there unless this forecast rain floods everything.

I note the same at the lower end.  This time of year the weekdays are not busy at Indian Point ramp but the weekends are due to the derbies.  There was a derby out of State Park yesterday so even with the cooler wet weather I noted a few more boats.  Once the weather stabilizes the crazies will appear.   I have noted some trash starting to appear in the water.   Thats why I love the winter fishing.  I have the whole lake to myself and no trash to pickup.

Very true. We learned why wool was preferred while living in Ireland. Will still keep you warm even while wet, which occurred regularly.

Those old Norwegians probably weren’t on as much blood thinner as I am.
