8-19 Cape Fair

I gave it 5 hours before I gave up.  I fished from Anglers Bend to Piney.  I caught 2 on a spook, 2 on a Ned and one on a Zero.  None were keepers.  I had one short hit on a Whopper Plopper, nothing on a jig, and nothing on a spoon.  Water was 83-85°.  It must not have been very good for some others as there were several rigs there when we arrived and few when we left.

Fished yesterday here in Bella Vista, I caught 3 bass, buddy got one about 6 inches long.  It is slow here too.  September is almost here and it is my least favorite month for fishing.

The best bass I caught, about 2 lbs, broke my braid back on the reel right after I set the hook.  Watched the line swim off and go under before I could get to it.  We resumed fishing and a few minutes later my buddy snagged my line and the bass was still on.  Boated him and he turned out to be big fish of the day.

I am ready for November and some cold weather.

i went to Cape last Monday with my little boy, he didnt really let me fish much we swam most of the time.  I did hit 3 docks and the fish were absolutely loaded under them, bait, bass, and crappie. I an a deep crank right down the front of one dock kinda crawling it over the cables and caught 4-5. Hit two other docks and caught a few more.  Didnt really try anything else, it was mid day and almost to hot to not be in the water

I'm happy to report that my daddy could never say that I ever kept him from fishing as much as he wanted to.  🙂👍 

I wanna start a new thing, and I hope it goes viral.   It's a brave new world where kids have to sit down, shut-up, enjoy their cush little lives, and stop feeding guilt trips on their parents.    One day they'll grow up.....and THEN if they've done well, they get to call the shots.

Well ,i only have had 1 day home in the last 3 weeks so i asked him what he wanted to go do and he chose the lake to swim. It was never meant to be a fishing trip.

My wife gave birth to twin boys . Someone the other day said “ man I hope they like to fish “ I responded saying “ doesn’t matter to me if they like it or not , they’re going ….”
