Definitely not more than it ranges at a specific depth during different times of the day. We had milfoil back when I was doing it, and coves that lacked milfoil weren't any different than coves that had it. o2 sensor readings weren't any different either. The only time o2 sensor readings were wildly different were when you got around significant spring inflow that also resulted in a significant temperature change. Little spring seepage spots weren't enough to effect either o2 or pH. tjm, bfishn and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

fishinwrench
Let me add something actually helpful to this thread, to those preparing to or attempting to GO THERE. See this decently clear and discernable screen shot.... If you are expecting decent imaging returns like this, then there's something you need to notice on that screen? Know what it is? Look at the VOLTAGE! Yeah it says 16.1 If yours is showing 12v-14v then you're never going to appreciate using it. For the best usage you will need a dedicated lithium battery with nothing else hooked up to it. (800.00-1200.00) Maybe, eventually, they will design units that operate well with a consistent 12v draw.....but as far as I know....all the ones currently available are first class power hogs. snagged in outlet 3

I run mine on a $60 12ah lithium. Don't always gotta spend big money. 18-20v drill batteries are pretty popular as well. Most guys have a few of those laying around. I didn't like the hassle of charging them so didn't go that route. nomolites, Quillback, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4 -Austin
Bill Babler
I have as good a picture at 12.7 to 13.1. Yes I agree the more power you have the better, but 12.4 plus you are going to see everything you need to see to be amazed. I’m only looking 100’ and under but I did see the 5 pounder I caught last week at 70’ and then went and caught her. Also I’m using a everstart deep cell $110 battery and it does everything I need . I usually have mine set in 70 ft out . I’m also running the older FFS transducer. snagged in outlet 3
Bill Babler
I also have the old one. My buddy has a new one and my machine is so fine tuned neither of us can see a bit of difference. I am running a Sea Clear cable and that did make a HUGE difference. Anglers spend too much time worrying about getting that pretty picture than using it to find what they need. My old Humminbird 998 hdsi would still find brush and fish like my newer bird with Mega side imaging, but it wasn't as "pretty". If it weren't for buttons not working on the 998, I'd probably still be running it. Same goes for FFS. I'm using a 10" Garmin with the LVS32 and a 12v lithium battery with my gain set pretty stinking high. Do my images look as pretty as the one you posted? Not even close. Can I find what I'm looking for and does it help me catch fish? You bet your butt it does! nomolites, snagged in outlet 3, grizwilson and 1 other
