Sometimes i wish i did like sports, it would make everyday conversations easier when people ask me about "THE" game.  I just have to look them in the eye and say i dont have a clue what they are talking about.   They usually think i am some kind of weirdo

I'm thrilled that I never got into sports in a big way.  All of my same-age buddies that were big-time athletes growing up.....They can barely walk now, and are always either healing up from or preparing for another surgery.

It's always a knee, shoulder, hip, or a back.   50 years old and the dudes are already spent.   Bummer!

Wait till the shuttlecock elbow sets in. Around 55 is when it gets real bad.

My story is I was a light weight, uncoordinated wimp in school.  Then I bought a resort and didn't have time except for the occassional round of golf.  About 12 years ago I started playing basketball at the CofO gym with a bunch of guys.  Switched to the local Rex Plex a couple years later.  Still go - Mon-Wed-Fri at 6 am.  No major injuries - 2 bent fingers and stitches over my eye.  Seen young men get hurt real bad over the years - ACL's and the like.  Hoping to make it to 60 without getting killed.

Champ -- if you and Donna put together a day this spring/summer, I'd love to come over and play (golf).

I'm the opposite. If there weren't any sports, I'd go insane.

I'd probably fish more. But I'd end up fishing more when I didn't want to anyway.

Just don't make me watch soccer. I'd rather watch baseball, and it's borderline intolerable.

I'd love to have an OAF golf outing. That would be fun as well.

Well with Champ and Donna's assistance we could probably put something together here in Bella Vista if there is enough interest.  Plenty of places to stay round here for those of you that are a ways away.
