I just wish the paranoia would end. Managing 8 stores that will remain open has been a total nightmare for the past few days. If I’m asked about a “what if” scenario one more time I will probably snap. Grownass men have turned into terrified children. You would think they would be happy to have a job that doesn’t have to close.

Probably terrified of meeting with the unknown, untested public.

Had a little  issue today...Sinuses all plugged up, and left middle ear pain, right one clogged but not so bad. Called my internist, described it to the nurse, Ear Sinus Issue, don't come in, but we will give you a scripts based on what you described. Told her two that work for me, that they have treated me with before. Must be hellishly busy. Took em 7 hours to call it in. Doubt if Doc ever looked at. No office visits are being done..Tell the triage lady on the phone about what you want . You will get it with no office visit. Will take 7-8 hours...Feeling much better now, but the Prednisone has me wired.

Coronavirus Pandemic, day 17.
If anyone is still out there, I’m alive but struggling. Food is running low. Down to only 459 days worth. My hands are super sanitized and my butt is super clean. Down to 1599 rounds of ammo (dropped 1 round down the heat vent while doing daily inventory). Power still on, but for how long? Missing human interaction but I have my dogs.. for now.. (I'm soaking their food in BBQ sauce in an attempt to marinate them from the inside in case I have to eat them) . I fear dark days ahead. News is all bad. Neighbors have attempted to leap from windows to their death, (or near death... most have single story homes so they are badly bruised). Blew through most Netflix series so may have to rewatch some again..Basic Survival is a definite challenge. I vow to persevere to the end, I am a survivor! Please, if there is life out there, communicate with me to help preserve my sanity..

Not my business but short-sighted to not heed the warnings...you need to be working on a plan.

Depending upon what your stores are selling...you could be setting yourself up for a lawsuit...might be more prudent to close temporarily.

Or I think you’re in auto parts business...close retail side and only do delivery to the mechanics with a skeleton crew...should be able to keep the lights on with delivery income

Might get some good publicity out of it...and your employees would be relieved to know they worked for a socially responsible organization.  Bring everyone back in two weeks and be ready to roll.

it seems small business in sw Missouri is continuing with the status quo...and I think that is dangerous with very little upside

IMO...sorry if it is offensive to anyone...good luck and God Bless

I had to run my wife phone into her.

Talking about Locked Down that place was tight. Usually I go up there dealing with a load of stuff or watching Radar. Today not lax at all give her phone and leave.

The industry we are in has been deemed essential so as long as our customers are open and need product we are going to continue to do our best to supply them. And their business isn't slowing at this time. We have 200 locations across the country and haven't had to close a single one. Most of our employees have chose to work. They have the option to take off and either not be paid or use their PTO hours. We have had very few take us up on that offer. We also have very little retail business and all that can go as far as I'm concerned. But we do have a responsibility to take care of our employees and take care of our customers so they can take care of theirs. And the best way to do that is to continue working if we can. I did have to quarantine one guy. He's working at home doing the best he can. He has zero symptoms. His wife was tested but she's getting better and the results are taking too long to get back.

We've been doing this a while. We know what we are doing. Plus we are in constant contact with CDC and local health departments.
