I agree Moguy 100% I feel the media, which is just an entertainment business. Has every as much to do with the division in this country as politics. It's to bad. My kids and grandkids are going to have to live in this mess. Does Canada have beaches?:huh1:

They are cold beaches, especially this time of year.

How a public health measure has become so politicized is beyond me.  Not really, I know how.  Of course I wear a mask whenever I go in any public place.  It's easy, the data shows they work so why not?

No reasonable person should be "against" mask wearing in light of the current situation.  I suspect this thread was started to rile up a political type argument, or just to troll.  This should be moved to the politics thread where hyper partisans can argue over misinformation.  It is very obvious that no amount of evidence will convince you to change your mind, you have decided what you believe to be true.

Also, Dr. Fauci's statements do not contradict one another, as your initial post implies.  Statement #1 says that common sense would tell you that 2 masks would be more effective than 1.  Statement #2 says that there is no scientific data saying 2 masks is better than one.  He can be (and is) correct in both statements.  Just because something has not been scientifically studied and peer reviewed, doesn't mean one cannot use common sense.

Shouldn't we all wear bulletproof vest and hard hats too ?     Everybody is toting a loaded gun, and there are lots of heavy things on those store shelves that are above our heads.   Let's also not neglect approved eye protection, cuz you never know what can go pinging off the edge of someone's shoe sole or car tire.

It's a dangerous world out there.

Guns and things falling off shelves haven't killed over 2 million people around the world in the last 10 months either.  And if it got to that point I'm sure that would be the consideration people would take into account.  Besides, construction workers who work around things that may fall on their heads wear hard hats, they would be stupid not to.  No different than the masks, the virus is all around us, one would be stupid not to wear a mask if it helps protect people.

Ok, but concrete barriers instead of paint-striped yellow lines would save even more, so let's do that first.  The money saved on insurance premiums will more than pay for it.

As harsh as it sounds, you can't deny that there is a population problem.  All you are witnessing is nature doing what nature does.  Block it one way....and it will find another.

I consider a mask to be an intelligence test. There is LOTS of Covid in STL/STC/Jeffco.... so put on a mask and wash your booger hooks before and after you go someplace in this town. It really is that simple.

Sick days were way down on our employees time reports last year. Masks and more attention to hygiene probably accounted for that. Nobody in the office has had Covid, and we do not want it here. All have private offices now, and we do not require masks at their desks...In common areas yes.
