Unrelated but today on I44 a metal 5 gallon bucket flew out of a work truck ahead of me and I hit it square. Cracked the plastic bumper cover, tore out the fender liner and then got stuck under the car emitting a 4th of July spark trail. Drug it about 2 miles to an exit where it finally popped out. Of course the truck that lost it had no back plate, if any. I'll be out at best my $500 deductible. Secure your loads and don't leave loose items in the boat while towing..

Sux!   What golf course?

I leave my truck at river accesses while fishing all the time.  Some pretty scary characters around sometimes.  I feel like leaving it unlocked with a note on the window that says:  There is nothing worth anything in here.  Door is unlocked for your convenience.

My rig was parked next to Marty, in the picture above, similar damage, lost battery and some jumper cables.  This ramp is on a Native American Reservation, County law and Tribal Police regular patrols.  Next few trips I took everything of value, left the doors unlocked opened the console, and glove box and put the note on windows on each side, as Pete mentions.  No more problems, I think they thought it was a trap?

Not only that the perps drained my oil out of the engine. (I wanna cuss here). Woe be to the one I catch doing this to me or my fishing partner.

I’ve only played twice since 2016.   I got the yips putting.  I just couldn’t take anymore.   Hit the ball good enough to shoot in the 70’s and 3 putt 10 holes to shoot 87.   Actually it’s embarrassing.  I  have to play in a Ryder cup work deal in may.   I dread it.  Last year I shot 88 the first day and the second day I putted with 6 iron after the 5th hole and shot 79.  At innsbrook.

That sucks.  I haven't gotten that bad but I've gone from being a really, really good putter most of my life to somewhere between mediocre and poor on any given day and it's tuff to take.  I don't really have the yips - it just seems like nothing has gone in since I turned 65.

Burn edges and lip 'em out all day long until nobody is more surprised than me when one actually goes in.

I used to use the same putter for ten or fifteen years at a time and never even look at another one to where now I've probably used a dozen different ones in the last four years and just ordered another new one yesterday.

I still love it way too much to even consider quitting and I figure my back/body is gonna give out soon enough to where quitting won't be an option so I wanna get in all I can while I can.

Crappy golf is still better than no golf - for me at least.

Heck, I don't catch fish anymore either but I ain't quit that!

A buddy's Dad went out to fish at TableRock one year.  They got to their first spot and his Dad picked up a spinning rod and fired out a long cast.  Went to start the retrieve and no handle.  Someone had stolen all the handles off his spinning reels.

Good grief.

I hope it comes around for you.   I love to hit balls and that's the only thing I occasionally miss.   That and hanging out with the boys.  I bought a range pass every year for decades.  The other thing that keeps from playing is the pace of play and boom boxes.   Unless we were first off the tee in the morning it was always slow play.  Even at the private level.  I'm there to play golf where it seems the past 20 years people were going to just "get out".  Hit it, go git it and pick up your ball for a putt for a double or more.
