Hunter53 Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Why did Bill leave the site? Since we are not coming down this year I have not been checking in as often and missed what happened. Just went to his page and it says last visit is just now. 🤷♂️

Champ188 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Actually, it's not much of a mystery at all. Even a guy like Bill --- who redefines the phrase "great guy" --- gets enough of putting out his very best efforts at being all-inclusive and honest to a fault when giving fishing info, only to be criticized or questioned about his contributions. I can't speak for Bill and I won't try, but he has retired from guiding and is indulging himself in other interests --- namely pickleball and spending more time with family and friends. Sometimes, we all just need to step away and do something healthier for ourselves. Kudos to Mr. Bill for doing just that. Even collectively, we could never thank him sufficiently for all of the help he has volunteered here on this site. cheesemaster, m&m, Quillback and 5 others 8

Always highly valued his information and input. Hate to see someone like him lose the desire to post due to 1 or 2 bad apples criticizing him. Bill is a true class act. We just bought a house on the lake at Shell Knob. I hired a guide and even though the trip was good, it wasn't as good as it would have been with Bill. nomolites, Nick Adams and Quillback 3
Lvn2Fish Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Ive never seen him criticized on here !? Maybe other locals are mad off forum for “ giving away “ too much ? Who knows.

fishinwrench Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I'd say that Pickleball is to blame. Once a dude takes up pickleball they seem to lose their desire to seriously fish, or even talk about fishing. A few I know have even sold their boats. There's a couple of douchebags on here that I'm anxious to see join a Pickleball league. 😅 Babler certainly wasn't one of them though.😢 cheesemaster, snagged in outlet 3, vernon and 1 other 2 2
Flysmallie Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Yeah those pickleball guys are almost as bad as the badminton pussies. fishinwrench, cheesemaster, grizwilson and 1 other 1 1 2
