Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted Wednesday at 10:46 PM Root Admin Posted Wednesday at 10:46 PM Our black lab, Jackson, went to sleep Monday. He was 14 1/2 years old. He suffered from arthritis for the last 6 months but seemed to be happy up to the end. He was the best.... great with people and other dogs, minded well and love to go... in the boat or in the truck. Not sure I can go through another experience with a pet getting old and dying. We're free from having to worry about someone watching the "kid" which will be nice. We will see... but for now our heart aches when we come into the house and he's not there. Ryan Miloshewski, ColdWaterFshr, Quillback and 12 others 15

BilletHead Posted Wednesday at 11:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:36 PM We know that feeling, Pets become family. Our last dog Sadie made it 17 years. She was a good girl and a few OAF members had met her. Yes you will have so much more freedom and things will never be the same. We feel the same about another possible dog. It hurts. dpitt, Daryk Campbell Sr and Terrierman 3 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Ham Posted Thursday at 12:02 AM Posted Thursday at 12:02 AM I’m Sorry Phil. I wish he could have been young, Happy, and Healthy forever. It’s tough losing a beloved dog. nomolites, dpitt, Quillback and 3 others 6 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
dpitt Posted Thursday at 12:08 AM Posted Thursday at 12:08 AM So Sorry Phil, hope you have some peace knowing you gave him a great life! Daryk Campbell Sr, BilletHead, ness and 1 other 4
Terrierman Posted Thursday at 12:19 AM Posted Thursday at 12:19 AM It's just so hard Phil and you have my sincerest sympathy. If I knew some words to make you feel better I would share them. One of the great mysteries is how we can fall so deeply in love with our dogs, and they with us - knowing we don't share a similar lifespan. I've come to terms with it and will always have dogs until I am no longer physically able. Flysmallie, Daryk Campbell Sr, dpitt and 2 others 5
grizwilson Posted Thursday at 12:38 AM Posted Thursday at 12:38 AM Sorry Phil, Jackson was a good dog we always enjoyed him. Terrierman, Daryk Campbell Sr and dpitt 3 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
Members fisherman24 Posted Thursday at 02:20 AM Members Posted Thursday at 02:20 AM Phil, I am sorry to hear that. I lost my dog last November and I still miss him. Daryk Campbell Sr, dpitt, Quillback and 1 other 1 3
Flysmallie Posted Thursday at 03:01 AM Posted Thursday at 03:01 AM I’m very sorry Phil. I love dogs. I can’t think of better friends than several of the pups I’ve spent part of my life with. It has always been tough losing any of them. If I had to do it all over again I would. The current meathead is a huge pain in the behind but when I look in her eyes I know that we have a very special connection. I’ll always have a dog. Just have to. RIP Jackson. I only saw you in pictures and videos but it looked like you had an amazing life. Terrierman, Quillback, dpitt and 1 other 4
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted Thursday at 09:36 AM Posted Thursday at 09:36 AM He was a great dog. Very obedient, and a friend to all he met. I'm very sorry Phil. dpitt, Quillback, Terrierman and 1 other 4 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
