Well heck, I will bring a cooler full of stuff off the smoker as long as it's all Al fun tournament.  Plenty of shelters around the lake to use.  Heck we could do a twofer, a smoker challenge and a fishing challenge, I suck at both, so no worries on my end.  Smoked whatever, a big pot of smoked beans, maybe some of chiefs smoked mac and cheese.  Speaking of chief is he is jail somewhere, haven't seen/heard anything from him for a while.

           They already do it every Spring. IT is even an official OAF Sanctioned Tourney cuz Phil is there. . Good food and all,

That one is way the heck down at Eagle Rock if I remember right.  We have lakes right up here.

I think we should put on a regular 5 bass tournament this fall on Stockton or Pomme.  I agree Eagle Rock is a long ways out of most peoples way. Especially if you live North of Springfield

Fact is, I'm the top-ranked member on this board, as the attached screen grab shows.

I've shared a ton of info with a lot of people on this board … taken a bunch of them fishing to help them learn. And I'd do every bit of it again. What I won't do is continue to post free information about specific bites going on in specific areas of the lake. I'd be happy to do that if it was limited to consumption by members alone, but this site is hit hard by drive-by guys who never join or contribute one bit of information. They simply leech what our members post for use in tournaments or to go saw the sides off whatever they can catch. 

I'm happy to give out specific info in PM's and I frequently do. Heck, I'd even share with you, should you have need of whatever little I might happen to know. Just don't wrongly accuse me of not being a productive member here.

Champ, top ranked as far as what? Number of posts? Likes? That screenshot doesn't impress me in the least. Heck, if you and wrench are both on there, then im pretty sure im happy im not.  👍

So whats the answer? Ask Phil to make the site viewable to members only? I believe you will get alot of new people to join that way, but they will only do it to read the content, as you stated.  

Maybe make it to were, as a member you have to post weekly to stay active, or your membership is in pause? Im on a few sites that do just that.  Those that are here posting hourly, daily, weekly will do so because they enjoy it.  Those that join if the site was private, will fall into that paused membership status pretty quickly. 

Tho my pro-active brain says to comment on your last paragraph, i will refrain for the sake of politeness.  😜

Why has it always gotta be a who has the biggest johnson contest?

Why can't people just go out and enjoy life anymore without it being about "bragging rights"?
