Foghorn
As several of you members of the Ozark Anglers forum family know, Laker 67 (aka Rick Osborn) has been very ill. It was with much sadness that his wife ,Sandy sent out a group text yesterday informing us that Rick had passed away. Rick was a wonderful family man, husband, friend and fisherman. He was a frequent contributor to posts on this Forum and at one time held the Missouri state record for brown trout at somewhere in the neighborhood of 27# 10 oz. That's quite an achievement considering he caught it on a fly rod. Those of us lucky enough to call him "friend" truly will miss his goodness and generosity. Prayers for Sandy, their sons Kevin and Brad along with their spouses and grandson Quin. awhuber, trythisonemv, tho1mas and 17 others 13 6

Ryan Miloshewski
This is such horrible news. He was such a good man. Duane ended up putting me in touch with Rick 6 or so years ago and he ended up teaching me so much about fishing, and life. I am very sad to hear this. May he rest in peace. dpitt, trythisonemv, Harv and 4 others 7 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold

fshndoug
I have had the pleasure of knowing Rick and Sandy for close to 30 years. How time flies. I am saddened that we will never share another moment standing next to another talking about our families, fishing and life in general. Rick was a master at fooling big trout. He taught me quite a bit on how to do it. He was a master at sight fishing. As good as he was at trout fishing he was even better as a person. He and Sandy are as genuine as anyone you will ever meet. He and his wife will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will always think of him as I am trying to fool a big fish. God Bless him and his family. Johnsfolly, Harv, laker67 and 4 others

trythisonemv
Rick was a fantastic person who I looked up too my whole life. He was a great father and a great uncle. I loved spending summers at him and sandys house playing with the boys. Him and dad fished alot when I was little and it was always a treat to see him. I will miss him. Stop by plateau in springfield if you ever want to see that brownie. Its a sight BilletHead, Daryk Campbell Sr, laker67 and 4 others
